The final itinerary is set and the detailed trip planning has begun!! It's time to figure out the details of our stops- which RV park? What is nearby? How convenient to our day trips, etc. There is alot of information to figure out. Chicago is the tough one- traffic is notoriously bad and a 31' RV is not going there. Mass transit abounds but is not near the campground- with one exception we have found so far- Dunewood National Park right on Lake Michigan only 1/4 mile from the station then a 35 min ride to the city. Beautiful view of the Chicago skyline at night- a definite possiblity. No electric hook-ups though!
We're having great fun planning with great friends. Mapquest and aerial views, Blogspot and Wiki, we're using technology to the fullest (thanks to Ken). We even have a joint bank account!!
By the time we're done planning we will need a vacation!!
